E-MAIL COURSES HELP SHARPEN STUDENT WRITING SKILLS
Providing students with the flexibility to take courses strictly by e-mail, the University for Writers has developed a Web site, www.universityforwriters.com, to help students of all ages become better writers. The courses feature one-on-one communication through e-mail with teachers who engage and challenge students to gain a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, while solidifying their knowledge of various aspects of writing, including grammar and story structure.
BRAINPOP OFFERS NEW SUBSCRIPTION; EXPANDS WITH SPANISH SITE
BrainPOP
(www.brainpop.com) has announced a new
subscription package that combines school and
home access to all of the company’s
animated K-12 educational movies, quizzes, and activities. The 12-month
school/home access subscription is now being offered for an introductory rate of
$1,350 for a single school site.
In addition, BrainPOP has recently
released a Spanish version of its site at
www.brainpop.com/es, which will be free
for an undetermined period of time.
