New Tools Help With Wire Management

Panduit’s Bundle Retainers are designed to accept groups of electrical or datacom cables up to 2” in diameter for easy routing through enclosures and closets. They are made of durable acetal for long service life and ease of use. The design includes a funnel entry that opens fully to allow previously bundled cables to be inserted effortlessly. An outer support collar keeps bundles securely retained whether the device is used vertically or horizontally. Measuring 3 1/4” W x 4 5/8” H x 2 1/4” D, the retainers are furnished with heavy-duty rubber-based adhesive foam tape for mounting. Built-in slots also accommodate 1/4” screws and are spaced according to EIA/TIA standards.

Also from Panduit are new Optical Fiber Network Saddles for use in routing fiber optic cable. These cable management accessories are designed with rounded edges to provide a smooth surface between the mount and the cable, helping prevent potential stress on cable, or damage to its insulation through snagging or abrasion. The saddles are available in both single and dual capacity versions, allowing users to select the appropriate capacity for specific fiber optic cable routing applications. Users can also choose between push-mount or adhesive-mount versions. Each single-capacity saddle can accommodate a maximum bundle size of 1.06” in diameter, while the double-capacity version may be used for routing two bundles of the same size. The saddles are constructed of a durable nylon material. Panduit Corp., Tinley Park, IL, (888) 506-5400, www.panduit.com.
