Digital Education and Social Sciences Textbooks for Higher Ed

Allyn & Bacon, a division of Pearson Education, along with WizeUp Digital Textbooks, have launched an initiative to electronically publish and distribute digital textbooks in education and social sciences for the higher education market. Titles such as Psychology by Philip Zimbardo, Educational Psychology by Robert Slavin, Social Psychology by Robert Baron and Donn Byrne, and Living Sociology by Claire Renzettie and Daniel Curran will be available in a digital format.

WizeUp’s advanced digital publishing technology provides sophisticated features and functions to instructors. Their digital textbooks ensure the pedagogical integrity of the published books, following the printed version page-by-page and graphic-by-graphic, while bringing the power of interactive technology and the Internet to students. These digital textbooks, which are available via Internet download or on the Web, include features like search capabilities, in-context note-taking and note management tools, custom hyperlinking, bookmarking and electronic highlighting capabilities.
