The SmartStep 100D desktop system from Dell is designed for first-time Dell computer buyers and includes a monitor, six months of Internet access, speakers and service, and support in one price. For a monthly fee, customers can surf the Web, download music or e-mail friends and co-workers. The basic configuration includes an Intel Celeron processor at 1 GHz, 128 MB SDRAM, 20 GB hard drive, PC speakers, 15" monitor, modem and six months of America Online Internet service.
