FirstFlight Helps Schools Become Wi-Fi Enabled

The Meru FirstFlight Program (www.merunetworks.com) helps schools implement a wireless network by combining three elements: Meru Network’s Air Traffic Control technology, support for virtual wireless LANs (local area networks), and full Layer 3 mobility for security. Air Traffic Control provides predictable service for an unprecedented number of users per access point. Its Wireless LAN System is able to create 64 unique, scalable WLANs across a single infrastructure. The program also leverages existing Layer 3 infrastructures so an entire campus can be instantly Wi-Fi enabled.
