Microsoft Awards Computer Labs


4/16/2007—Microsoft last week announced that it's making over computer labs in 34 individual schools. Each school undergoing the makeover is receiving $25,000 in equipment.

The winning schools were selected during Microsoft's Ultimate Windows Vista Celebration Sweepstakes. The prizes for each school include a choice of 20 laptop systems with storage cart or 20 desktop systems with flat-screen monitors, each of which comes equipped with Windows Vista Ultimate.

The schools include both public and private institutions spanning 25 states and ranging in size from 233 students to nearly 3,000, according to Microsoft. The complete list includes:

Winners were chosen at random during a drawing in February.
