Boyertown District Expands Site with Dynamic Information

Boyertown Area School District (Pennsylvania) has upgraded its district site with the help of hosting firm Media Fusion Technologies (MFT). The new site includes dynamically updated information, details on all individual schools, and calendar listings, in addition to other new community-related and district-related features.

The site is updated dynamically using MFT's content management system built around the .Net 2.0 framework. The dynamic capabilities are being used for announcements like emergencies, school closings, and other types of notices. The site also now includes curriculum details, sports and other event listings, directories, and details on school board meetings.

"We realize that in today's world, many people's first contact with a school district is through Web access, and we believe the new design provides a great 'first impression' of our district," said Harry Morgan, superintendent. "The design of the website enables people to navigate it easily and they can quickly find information about our school district."

The new implementation also allows the district to send out e-mail and text messages to community members in the event of an emergency.
