Australian Government Approves Autism Intervention

Australia's Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs has approved the Fast ForWord products from Scientific Learning as an educational intervention tool for working with autistic children younger than 6.

Fast ForWord is a family of educational software tools designed to aid in developing a child's brain to process information more efficiently. The programs are designed to apply neuroscience principles to help children build the cognitive skills necessary to read and learn and improve skills fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, working memory, syntax and grammar, and phonological and phonemic awareness.

Made available through the Helping Children with Autism funding package, which offers funding for intervention services for children ages 7 and under diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fast ForWord is accessible via the LearnFast Australia/Lindfield Speech Pathology & Learning Center in Sydney, New South Wales, through and Sonic Learning in Perth, Western Australia.
