Gefen Expands Digital Signage Lineup
Gefen has expanded its digital signage lineup with a new media player, a content creator, and a controller.
The player is the HD Digital Signage Player, which offers 1080p/60 full HD support and support for user-created playlists and allows users to upload pre-recorded video, customize scrolling text, and select background music. The content is delivered to any flat panel display using HDMI or VGA connectivity.
A built-in flash drive holds content, uploaded through the Ethernet or USB. Scrolling text can be input and changed as necessary via the Internet, so users can tailor their messages. A variety of fonts and sizes can be selected, giving users the ability to customize messages.
The Digital Signage Creator is designed to offer complete content creation and customization capabilities. It outputs content to HDMI and VGA with left and right audio. It also supports scripting, allowing users to write scripts to control audio/video content, layer multiple videos, and pull RSS feeds off the Internet, for example.
The DVI Video Wall Controller creates a large, four-display video wall using one DVI input and four DVI outputs supporting high resolution video up to 1080p/60 HD. The video is distributed in four quadrants spread across four flat-panel displays that are stacked in a 2 x 2 configuration. The DVI Video Wall Controller offers independent border control to crop the image and eliminate display bezels for precise alignment. The DVI Video Wall Controller also incorporates built-in noise reduction for clearer images.
