Arcademic Skill Builders Adds Score Tracking, LMS

Arcademic Skill Builders has added a subscription option, Arcademics Plus, to their free online educational game service.

Arcademic Skill Builders are online multiplayer and single-player games that engage students in subjects including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, integers, decimals, money, fractions, time, geography, and language arts.

Arcademics Plus provides tracking of top scores and game achievements through a database and leader boards. Students are also able to earn trophies and prizes that will be displayed on their homepages to highlight their in-game accomplishments.

The new service also adds a learning management system that generates performance reports with areas of growth, most commonly missed problems, success charts, and comparisons of student performance with longitudinal averages. The LMS also allows teachers to assign individual content to students according to their personal achievement while still competing against their classmates in the same game.

The Arcademic Skill Builders games will continue to be available for free, but Arcademics Plus will cost $199 per year for a classroom of 30 students.

Educators who try a free beta version of the subscription service from June 13 to early fall will receive a 50 percent discount off their first year's subscription by providing feedback.
