Virginia School District Receives Donation of Google Tablets

Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) recently received a donation of five Google Nexus 7 tablets from Infian, an IT consulting organization located in Richmond, VA. The tablets were awarded to five teachers who attended an education conference this past fall.

The teachers have already put the new tablets to use, said Adam Seldow, executive director of technology for CCPS, in a prepared statement.

"We are grateful to Infian for providing these devices, which help our teachers to be more productive—and a bit cooler," said Seldow. "This caused huge excitement with teachers—especially because they can use these devices anywhere in their schools with all of the wireless coverage." The district is outfitted with Wi-Fi solutions from Aerohive Networks.

Chesterfield County Public Schools, located in Chesterfield County, VA, has more than 58,000 students enrolled across its 62 schools.
