T.H.E. Journal Announces Grand Prize Winner

Chatsworth, CA — 1105 Media Education Group and T.H.E. Journal announced the first grand prize winner of a $5,000 luxury vacation for two this week.

Congratulations to luxury vacation giveaway winner Kathleen Lord, Principal, North Country Elementary in Antelope, CA. Lord won a four-day/three-night vacation package for two worth $5,000 including: luxury accommodations, roundtrip air transfers for two, ground transportation, welcome amenities, activities for two (choice of golf, tennis or spa), daily breakfasts, taxes and service fees.

"Thank you very much! I am just ecstatic with this news and I'm imagining a number of destination possibilities," says Lord, "I just want to say that T.H.E. Journal always has a variety of current topics relevant to teaching and learning in today's progressive classroom. The articles are based on practice, not theory. If one is proactive enough to check a couple of them out, a few enthusiastic teachers will jump on board and before you know it, there could be something great happening at your school! This is not just another technology publication."

After T.H.E. Journal went completely digital in Aug. 2012, launching the industry's first browser-based all-digital version of the magazine, subscribers had the opportunity to be automatically entered into the grand prize drawing each time they accessed the digital magazine from Aug. 2012 through Jan. 2013.

"We are excited to be giving away prizes this year to celebrate T.H.E. Journal's all-digital multimedia magazine and our iPad app. Our very first grand prize vacation giveaway has been a tremendous success, and congratulations to T.H.E. Journal subscriber Kathleen Lord who won a luxury U.S. vacation for two. We value all our subscribers and we will continue to offer our readers, like Kathleen, the best interactive content with our digital multimedia magazine and brand new mobile app," says Wendy LaDuke, President and Group Publisher, 1105 Media Education Group.

And throughout 2013, T.H.E. Journal will continue to give away an iPad® mini each month to subscribers who access the current month's issue of the magazine through the new iPad magazine app or the online browser-based version. Subscribers can increase their chances of winning each time they view an issue via the e-mail link or iPad app. Drawing and notification of the winners will be held at the beginning of each month.
