Houghton Mifflin to Expand Educational Game Development

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) has acquired Montreal-based Tribal Nova, a developer of educational games and services for preschoolers, as part of an effort to expand its offering of online games for young learners.

HMH's new acquisition includes Tribal Nova’s iLearnWith, iReadWith, and KidCore. iLearnWith is a suite of cross curricular educational apps for children in preschool and kindergarten. iReadwith is a complementary digital book program. KidCore, a cross-platform learning engine, enables users to create personalized education content based on their profile and game performance, according to a statement from the company.
