Jupiter Adds Anonymous Hotline for Bully Prevention

Jupiter Ed has added an anonymous hotline for reporting bullying to Jupiter iO, its learning management, gradebook, analytics and student information solution.

The hotline allows students to send messages, which may include videos, photos or screenshots, to counselors, teachers or other trusted school personnel. Messages can be sent from any Internet-connected device and school staff can respond to give guidance or ask for more details without violating the reporting student's anonymity.

"The reality is that too much bullying goes unreported, because kids don't want the stigma of being a victim or a 'snitch'," said David Hundsness, founder and CEO of Jupiter Ed, in a prepared statment. "This new hotline makes it easier for students to come forward and report bullying right away, on or off campus, 24x7, and for school staff to help these kids."
