Clever Now Compatible With Classroom Management Tool Engage

Mobile device management company FileWave is now compatible with data integrator Clever, a partnership that will let schools use their SIS data to prepopulate information fields in FileWave’s classroom management tool, Engage.

A free service for schools, Clever connects data that already exists in the SIS--such as class lists--with learning programs, like Khan Academy (and now, Engage) to reduce manual data entry. In that way, new students can be automatically set up with their own accounts across a number of applications. School administrators still maintain control over what data is shared, and with which programs.

Engage is a recent addition from FileWave, and is designed to help teachers and school staff manage classrooms. It includes features such as single app mode to keep students on a particular task, screen lock, and class polling with instant results.

Clever also offers a single sign-on tool, which lets students or teachers start various pieces of software without having to log in each time.
