All Educational Testing Service Research Reports Now Available at Wiley Online Library

Educational Testing Service (ETS) has made its entire collection of research reports, more than 2,500 in total, available through the Wiley Online Library. As part of the partnership, Wiley will also publish new reports from ETS.

According to a news release, topics covered by ETS research reports include:

• "Psychometric and statistical methodology;
• Educational evaluation;
• Performance assessment and scoring;
• Large-scale assessment and evaluation;
• Cognitive, developmental, personality and social psychology; and
• Education policy."

Launched in 1947, ETS is a nonprofit that currently administers more than 50 million tests each year. The 3,200-employee organization has "more than 2,300 of our professional staff [who] have training and expertise in education, psychology, statistics, psychometrics, computer sciences, sociology and the humanities," according to information on the ETS site. Nearly 1,000 of those staff members hold advanced degrees and 250 are employed as researchers.

"This is the first time that the vast majority of reports in the ETS Research Report Series are available online to the public," said Jim Carlson, the Daniel Eignor executive editor of the ETS Research Report Series, in a prepared statement. "The series documents the research we've conducted since the inception of the organization and includes papers by thought leaders in the field of educational measurement such as Frederick Lord, Samuel Messick, William Angoff, Bert Green, Karl Joreskog, Bob Linn, Ledyard Tucker and Paul Holland. Having the archive available online is a great resource."
