Blended Schools Network Professional Development Courses Move to Udemy

Ed tech company Sibling Group Holdings will make all of its Blended Schools Network (BSN) professional development courses available via Udemy.

"With over 500 hours of content, BSN's professional development courses have already provided a convenient option for more than 30,000 teachers nationwide," according to a Sibling News release. "Each of the BSN's professional development courses are aligned with the iNACOL pathways to ensure educator expertise in areas such as online learning, blended learning and learning technologies."

The first course available through the platform, Jump Start Blended Learning in Your K-12 Classroom, will focus on the primary blended learning models and skills needed to implement them. Features of the $99 course include more than 40 lectures, activities, collaboration with peers and an opportunity to build an implementation plan.

Other courses that will be available this fall include "Building Online Programs, Building Online Courses, Online Teaching and Technology Training, as well as Special Education and Social Emotional Learning," according to a news release.

"Our teacher professional development courses have always been a part of our complete blended learning solution package," said Jed Friedrichsen, chief academic officer at Sibling, in a prepared statement. "Through the Udemy marketplace, we will now be able to reach many more teachers from around the world to help them master new teaching skills to improve student learning in their classroom."
