The new Acer S385WHne professional series projector boasts short-throw technology and 20W integrated audio — enough sound for an auditorium-sized room.

Capable of projecting images of up to 100 inches (diagonally) from a distance of just 3.4 feet, the S385WHne offers 3,200 ANSI lumens of brightness, a 17,000:1 contrast ratio and native WXGA resolution. Other features include:

  • Wireless projection (requires optional adapter) with a hidden dongle design;
  • ColorBoost technology for color fidelity and enhanced color brightness;
  • Dynamic lamp power adjustment analyzes content frame by frame to optimize image contrast;
  • Up to 4,000 hours lamp life in standard mode, 6,000 hours in ECO mode and 10,000 hours in ExtremeECO mode;
  • Digital zoom and pan;
  • DLP 3D and HDMI 3D ready, with Blu-ray playback capability;
  • Connectivity options include dual HDMI ports, composite and s-video, as well as two sets of D-Sub and audio connectors, which can be used with two PCs simultaneously for instant switching;
  • Two built-in 10W speakers delivering 20W stereo sound;
  • Remote control via LAN for monitoring and reporting; 
  • Instant resume function enables the projector to power up right after it has been turned off, with no need to wait for a cooling period;
  • Top-loading lamp design; and
  • Smart pen compatibility for interactive presentations.

For interactivity, an optional Acer Smart Pen communicates with the projector directly via RF so that presenters can write on the projected image. The pen also functions as a remote control, and can be used from up to 32 feet away from the screen. Up to two users can write and draw simultaneously on the same screen.
