Edgenuity Integrates Scantron Data To Improve Individualized Learning

Edgenuity has partnered with Scantron to integrate Scantron Performance Series data with Edgenuity MyPath in a move designed to allow districts to use data previously gathered in the delivery of personalized instruction.

Once the Scantron data is imported, MyPath will recommend individual learning paths (IPL), aligned to Common Core and state standards and featuring videos, practice activities, interactive tasks and comprehension reviews. Teachers then receive detailed reports to monitor student progress as they work through their ILPs.

"Edgenuity MyPath is designed to meet students at their current learning level and provide the specific support they need to catch up, keep up or get ahead," said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity, in a prepared statement. "The integration of data from Scantron Performance Series into MyPath brings together best-in-class assessment and instruction to help schools and districts drive better student achievement."

"We are excited to enable a more personalized approach to student learning and more targeted instructional planning for educators," said Jay Whitchurch, executive vice president of digital solutions at Scantron, in a news release. "We have seen classrooms with a seven-year grade level range in student performance, making it challenging to truly differentiate instruction. This combined solution will help overcome the inherent challenges associated with varying student abilities."
