Interlochen Center for the Arts Consolidates Human Resources with Cloud-Based ERP

Interlochen Center for the Arts, a nonprofit arts high school in Michigan, is merging its disparate human resources systems onto a new cloud-based enterprise resource planning system,  FinancialForce Everyday HCM.

The move, according to Interlochen, is designed to help streamline data-intensive administrative tasks and improve the overall employee experience by offering self-service to employees and providing tools with an easy-to-navigate user interface.

According to FinancialForce: "Because Interlochen manages different levels of staff, including a group of year-round, full-time employees and a large number of seasonal, hourly employees, the HR team was spending more time managing data and handling paperwork than adding real value to the organization. Interlochen realized that it needed a single, unified system to manage its entire 'hire to retire' lifecycle in order to become a cutting-edge HR department, and ultimately selected FinancialForce HCM as the most comprehensive system for its needs. Now, Interlochen can do it all — recruitment, hiring, tracking and managing full-time and seasonal workforce — in one single app."

The solution provides streamlined onboarding and simplified employee records, direct access to ADP Payroll, self-service for both managers and employees and customization options that can be implemented by non-technical (or technical) staff.

""FinancialForce is really helping us be more successful and have a higher level of internal customer service for our employees," said Kim Zubrickas,  executive director of human and institutional resources at Interlochen. "They love being able to go in the system and look at their vacation time, their sick time and all of their data. They can change it on their own in real time, and because of that reason, they have connected a lot more with Interlochen."

Interlochen serves about 500 students in its high school program and another 2,500 through its summer programs. It also provides adult education and operates two public radio services

Additional details about Interlohen's implementation can be found in a case study on FinancialForce's site.
