Virtual Ed Link To Provide Emergency Response

Emergency response software provider Viyya Technologies will be teaming up with energy management firm The Atlantic Cos. to launch Virtual Ed Link, a new unit designed to provide emergency management technologies for K-12 and higher ed institutions. The letter of intent between the two companies was signed earlier this month.

According to Viyya, Virtual Ed Link "will respond to the growing need from school campuses (K-12 and higher education institutions) to collect, access, share and disseminate vital information" within campuses and school districts. Viyya recently launched the Emergency Alert Information Portal systems; The Atlantic Cos. has been working with educational institutions for more than 10 years developing energy optimization and security programs.

More than 100 schools have implemented programs from The Atlantic Cos.

Viyya's Emergency Alert Information Portal offers e-mail, text messaging, cell phone voice mail, and streaming video alerts for students, parents, faculty, and staff in the event of an emergency.

We'll bring you more information when it becomes available.
