18 Texas Districts Get Unitedstreaming

At the NECC show in Atlanta, Discovery Education announced that 18 Texas Regional Education Service Centers have signed on for the company's unitedstreaming service through the 2011/2012 school year. The agreement brings unitedstreaming to more than 3.8 million students, or 90 percent of the Education Service Center regions in the state.

"The 18 Education Service Centers are thrilled that we are now able to offer the majority of Texas schools Discovery Education unitedstreaming at the lowest possible cost," said Randal Douglas, director of educational technology services, Education Service Center Region XI, in a release issued this week. "We believe the service offers educators the dynamic and innovative content that's needed to really engage 21st century students in learning."

Unitedstreaming offers more than 4,000 full-length videos and other resources, including photography, reference articles, curriculum development, assignment creation, and test creation tools.
