DigiLore kicks Off Software Grants

Ed tech provider DigiLore has launched a new grant program for both K-12 and higher ed institutions. The grant, according to the company, is designed to support United States Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings's call for "a more accountable higher education system that includes a stronger accreditation process with more information about the quality of colleges and universities."

The grant program, called the DigiLore Software Grant, will provide universities and K-12 schools with free licenses of the company's DigiLore Learning Lifecycle Management suite. The licenses support five concurrent users. Hosting and maintenance fees still apply.

"DigiLore is dedicated to improving the quality of education both in the classroom and online to ensure that all students have a quality education. We believe that by providing cutting edge tools to promote continuous improvement and outcomes, educators can deliver a better education to students while putting a process for improvement in place," said Chuck Pollington of DigiLore in a statement released by the company. "We believe that the accreditation processes placed on theses institutions will only become stronger over time and the only way to truly assess effectiveness will be having a complete system that plans, assesses, and validates student learning."

Eligible institutions include K-12 schools/districts, universities, colleges, and vocational schools based in the United States.
