College Board Approves Online AP Courses
Aventa Learning, a provider of online educational courses for K-12 schools, has received approval for 22 of its advance placement online courses from The College Board, the organization that administers the AP program.
The number of high schools offering AP courses has increased by 36 percent in the last 10 years, according to Aventa Learning. However, not all advance placement classes are meeting College Board's criteria. In an attempt to regulate the program, College Board is requiring that any school offering an AP course must submit a course syllabus for approval.
Aventa Learning will be offering advance placement courses in subjects ranging from Math and Science to Psychology and Economics.
