AEC Launches High School Electives for E-Learning Courseware Program
Curriculum and courseware developer American Education Corp. this week launched three new high school courses for its A+nyWhere Learning System. The elective courses are designed to supplement A+LS' core subject areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies.
The three new elective course cover psychology, career essentials, and personal finance. All integrate with the A+LS management system and meet the requirements of a one-semester high school course. The new course follow on the heels of electives launched last year by AEC, including anthropology, art appreciation, health, humanities
I & II, lifetime fitness, and sociology. The courses emphasize "essays, projects, journals, and constructed responses," according to AEC.
The A+LS system is a network-based e-learning system targeted toward K-12. It includes more than 5,200 lessons and 200,000 pages of research, courseware, and other content. It also integrates assessment and curriculum management tools.
