3D Maps Illuminate U.S. Civil War Battles

Gettysburg: The Three Days combines text, animation and 3D maps to explain the greatest battle in the U.S. Civil War. The program accurately recreates the contours of the Pennsylvania battlefield as it looked during the first three days of July 1863 through topographical maps, based on U.S. Geological Survey data and other sources. A previous Civil War title, Antietam/Sharpsburg, focuses on that battle in Maryland on September 17, 1862, the bloodiest day in American history. Text boxes in each program present short biographies of one dozen top army commanders, plus details on other participants, military units and landmarks. Both titles also contain orders of battle and full listings by state of all regiments engaged. Grace Technologies, Delaware, OH, (800) 778-6629. W
