Acquire Scientific Data Directly from MS Excel

Measure is a software program that lets scientists and engineers use Microsoft Excel for direct data acquisition and serial control as well as report generation. The add-in product features interactive menus and intuitive dialog boxes for quickly configuring and executing acquisition operations. It supports analytical chemistry, physiological research, design characterization, quality assurance, electronic testing and more. Scientists can take single-point, low-speed readings for temperature-, pressure- or process-monitoring applications using National Instruments' plug-in DAQ boards, or acquire and parse data from any analytical device via a standard computer interface. Acquired data is placed directly into spreadsheet cell ranges defined by the user. In addition, experiments can be automated with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), the built-in macro language for Excel. National Instruments, Austin, TX, (800) 433-3488. W
