Firm Debuts an Electronic Pen w/ Built-in Eraser

Wacom announced the world's first Erasing UltraPen, which works with a new generation of pressure-sensitive graphics tablets. With the cordless, battery-less device, users can erase naturally with up to 256 levels of pressure, erasing more the harder they press. Applications that support the Erasing UltraPen include Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, FreeHand and Strata's Media Paint. Wacom also introduced two other new UltraPens: the WideBody UltraPen With Pencil, designed for artists who wish to sketch on paper as well as on the computer, and DuoSwitch UltraPen, which includes a double side switch. The three new models bring to eight the number of electronic pens available from Wacom. Wacom Technology Corp., Vancouver, WA, (800) 922-6613.
