Kodak Upgrades Photo CD Authoring Software

In an effort to expand access to Photo CD technology, Kodak Digital Science recently upgraded its Build-It Software for Windows, Macintosh and Power Mac platforms. The software is used to write Photo CD portfolio II discs--which, unlike "Master discs," can store any digitally originated images as well as other digital content such as text or audio. It targets two primary applications: presentations and image archiving. Presenters may create multimedia programs that combine presentation frames with sound and complex, interactive menu branching. Build-It will write images, software, ASCII text and other data files to any ISO-standard disc. In addition, Kodak offers a complete turnkey authoring system for Photo CD portfolio II discs, including Build-It and Arrange-It software, a Digital Science PCD Writer 225, a SCSI card and cables.
