Firm to Process All DOE Financial Aid Applications

National Computer Systems (NCS) has been awarded the Central Processing System (CPS) contract by the Dept. of Education to process applications for all students in the United States applying for financial aid. Per the contract, NCS will develop end-user personal computer software and documentation for electronic applications, direct loan origination and financial aid management functions at institutions. This is the second major contract involving the delivery of federal student financial aid that the Dept. of Education has awarded to NCS in the past month; this contract is worth over $100 million. NCS will manage the new CPS contract for the next five processing cycles, beginning with the 1996-97 school year and ending with the 2000-2001 school year.
