MM Science Course Chosen In 2 More States

Decision Development Corp.'s (DDC) Science 2000 has been recommended for adoption in Kentucky and Georgia.

The sixth, seventh and eighth grade versions of the curriculum were chosen in lieu of textbooks for the Science Adoption List.

Science 2000 is a middle school science curriculum that is completely technology-based and utilizes a variety of multimedia options such as videodisc, online software simulations, online database activities and full authoring capabilities for both the teacher and student.

The curriculum is cross-curricular, emphasizes problem-solving skills, and includes open-ended assessments ¬ versus multiple-choice tests.

The seventh and eighth grade versions of Science 2000 have been adopted as an electronic alternative to textbooks in Calif., Texas, Ore., Utah and W.Va. Decision Development Corp., San Ramon, CA, (800) 800-4332.
