Discounts Offered on Classroom News Service

Ingenius and Apple have entered into a joint marketing agreement through which U.S. schools will receive free trial CD-ROM versions of the Ingenius' What On Earth and Xchange news-based learning products.

Educators purchasing specific Apple hardware bundles will receive special discounts on Ingenius products. Customers who purchase a single station subscription to What On Earth will receive the Xchange service free; those purchasing network versions of What On Earth receive the Ingenius Data Receiver at no charge.

What On Earth delivers multimedia-formatted news using adjustable text, sound, video and graphics. Ingenius educators package the news for children in support of cross-curriculum teaching. Teachers incorporate the daily stories in classroom activities assisted by complementary lesson plans, discussion guides and directed activities.

Xchange is a textual, unedited news feed containing up-to-the-minute news from more than 20 international newswires. All Ingenius products are delivered to computers via cable TV. Ingenius, Englewood, CO, (303) 705-8800.
