3D Modeling SW is Reduced in Price
Byte by Byte Corp. drastically reduced the price of Sculpt 3D 4.1, its 3D modeling and rendering software for the Mac and Power Mac. Formerly priced at $1,495, the software now carries a SRP of $495.
Owners of qualifying 3D programs can take advantage of a competitive upgrade price of $299 in the U.S. and $399 internationally. Plus, the firm has discontinued hardware-based copy protection of the product.
Sculpt 3D sports an extensive suite of 3D modeling tools, high-quality ray tracing and a path-based interface for creating QuickTime movies. An unlimited number of custom textures can be applied to any surface using built-in surface shaders or by mapping images.
