Bridge Integrates Ethernet Networks

The BlueStreak 10/100 Bridge provides 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet users with access to printing, e-mail, applications and other resources on their existing 10 Mbps Ethernet LAN. This two- port bridge supports up to 2,048 addresses on both the 10 Mbps and the 100 Mbps ports.

It includes auto configuration at startup, link status and error detection LEDs, and supports AUI and RJ-45 connections on the 10 Mbps port.

Another product, the BlueStreak 100/100 Bridge extends the range to 200 meters between each hub on a Fast Ethernet segment by automatically segmenting the network into two separate collision domains. An address-filtering function automatically learns source addresses of nodes on both segments.
