Compression Utility Integrates w/Finder

A major upgrade to Aladdin's flagship product, StuffIt Deluxe 4.0 boasts better integration with the Finder, more Internet support, improved e-mail support, increased speed for compression and expansion operations, and drag and drop segmentation.

The StuffIt Browser lets one examine and modify archives directly in Finder -- without loading the full application. A file can be "stuffed" or "unstuffed" simply by dragging to/from the archive.

By selecting "Stuff and Mail" from the enhanced Magic Menu, a file or folder is compressed and attached to a newly created e-mail message. Plus, the menu supports more Internet archiving and encoding file formats, including "tar" (from UNIX systems), UUencode and BinHex.

Plus, on a Power Macintosh, compression now occurs up to 20% faster than before, while expansion of many file formats takes nearly half the time. Aladdin Systems, Watsonville, CA, (408) 761-6200, [email protected]. M
