Outspoken Globe Teaches Geography

The GeoSafari Talking Globe has over 10,000 geography questions programmed into it -- and it asks them itself!

Measuring 12" in diameter, this geopolitical globe uses GeoSafari software's award-winning quiz style to test students' knowledge while providing instant access to hands-on practice using a real globe.

Up to four players or teams can play simultaneously, adjusting response time and question difficulty. With its voice, flashing lights and sound effects, GeoSafari Talking Globe will capture student's attention while they learn geography.

It comes in three models: the base model includes the globe with electronics in the pedestal; an A/V model adds a four-way headphone splitter; and a Quiz Unit contains the electronic quiz unit plus headphone splitter for use in classrooms that already have globes, wall maps or atlases.

California AI Watermarking Bill Supported by OpenAI

OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, is backing a California bill that would require tech companies to label AI-generated content in the form of a digital "watermark." The proposed legislation, known as the "California Digital Content Provenance Standards" (AB 3211), aims to ensure transparency in digital media by identifying content created through artificial intelligence. This requirement would apply to a broad range of AI-generated material, from harmless memes to deepfakes that could be used to spread misinformation about political candidates.
