Digital Camera is Less Than $350

Kodak has released several innovative products that enable PC users to print their own snapshots using a color inkjet printer. The Kodak Digital Science DC20 Camera is the firm's first in a series of digital cameras suited to home and school users. Available for under $350 in the U.S., the DC20 is compact enough to fit in a shirt pocket and provides an easy way of capturing pictures to use in personal creative projects, school projects and to share online. The camera stores up to 16 pictures in its 1MB permanent memory and downloads them through a standard serial interface port to either a Mac or Windows PC. For hard copy, Kodak's new Snapshot Inkjet Paper allows users to make photo-sized prints on a standard inkjet printer. The paper is heavyweight, 4 x 6 inch Photographic Paper stock, and works with recent models of HP, Canon, Epson and Lexmark color inkjet printers using the "envelope" setting. Expected U.S. retail is around $10 for a 36-sheet package. Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY, (800) 23-KODAK, http://www.kodak.com.
