SW Fits Both Native & Non-Native Speakers

Jostens' new Learning Expedition Reading With Spanish curriculum is comprised of sequentially designed, full-year courses for K-3 students. It is suited for both those who are beginning to learn Spanish and those for whom English is their second language.

The curriculum features stories written by children's authors expressly for the Learning Expedition Series. Reading selections are available in both English and Spanish, drawing on themes in science, health and safety, home and neighborhood, and the nation and world. Lessons demonstrate diversity across genders, races, cultures and generations. Dynamic graphics, animation and sound motivate and invite exploration.

Each Reading With Spanish unit consists of five activities, including Let's Explore, Storytime, Words & Their Meanings, Understanding What You've Read, and Let's Write.

The package (Mac or Windows) comes with Compass, a powerful curriculum manager component that lets teachers assign lessons in Spanish, English or both, and that can sequence lessons for students or allow them to work in a self-paced environment.
