Develop Student Presentation Skills

Effective Presentations 1, 2 and 3 from McGraw-Hill Lifetime Learning is a three-part multimedia CD-ROM training course designed to teach the skills necessary to prepare and deliver presentations to a live audience. The courses cover planning the presentation, writing the content and using audio and visual aids. It also deals with all aspects of delivery, including body language, tone and handling questions from the audience. The software even enables users to practice their skills in a realistic self-study setting.

'The learner's attention is captured and retained through a mixture of graphics, audio and video, and sprinkled with a touch of humor,' said Jill Speicher Arnett, Vice President of Marketing, McGraw-Hill Lifetime Learning. 'All these features help to build confidence and quell the fear of public speaking that many experience.'

The series consists of three courses: Creating Your Presentation, Delivering Your Presentation, and Putting Your Skills to the Test. The first two provide comprehensive tutorials and may be used for reference and performance support. The third is a hands-on exercise in creating and delivering a presentation.
