Explore the Web in Guided Tours
TourMaker Personal/Educational Version is downloadable software that lets you create Web tours from Web pages and your written text. You can show Web sites and resources from hypertext links, add comments of each site and guide your students or guests promptly back to your site.
TourMaker is both a browser and an authoring system. You select the sites and enter the text of accompanying narration. The program requires a minimum of Windows 95 and Explorer 4.0. However, it will run on most recent versions of Explorer, Navigator and AOL on both Mac and Windows platforms. Teachers can create their own tours that take students on safe, guided and curriculum-based excursions to the Internet. Students can use TourMaker to turn their Internet projects into dynamic presentations. At a higher price, TourMaker is available in CD-ROM form, as well.
