Comprehensive Atlas for Macintosh Users

DeLorme has released new Macintosh versions of its software Street Atlas USA and the compatible Earthmate GPS Receiver. Including new features such as address-to-address routing, one-way roads in major cities, and updated road data, the two programs combine to provide powerful mapping and navigation tools. Users can type in street addresses, and the program will provide directions between them, as well as a highlighted route on a map. A new function allows users to select and include individual road segments in the routing process. Map details can be customized and printed on 15 levels, and address books can be imported. Used with the optional GPS receiver, this product can introduce students to basic mapping and geography concepts, in preparation for more complex GIS (Geographic Information Systems) concepts.
