New Releases - Whiteboard Photo

Used in tandem with a digital camera, Whiteboard Photo from Pixid is able to turn photos of work on whiteboards, flipcharts, chalkboards, overhead projections and printed documents into perfectly legible documents for printing, e-mail or presentation. In this way, teachers can easily turn chalkboard or whiteboard notes and diagrams into handouts for the class. After a digital picture is taken, image processing techniques color-enhance the photo so that white backgrounds are perfectly white and pen colors are vivid. In addition, the software automatically corrects for perspective and lens distortion caused by the digital camera.

Other features in the software include image rotation, keystone correction, brightness controls, line-art conversion and a background inversion that preserves the pen colors while reversing the background color. A batch conversion wizard allows multiple photos to be loaded, saved, converted, saved again and printed in a single step.

The program supports all digital cameras using the TWAIN interface. File formats supported include JPEG (.jpg), bitmap (.bmp), TIFF (.tif), Targa (.tga), Windows Metafile (.emf), Photoshop (.psd) and others. It is designed for use with Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT 4.0.
