The Summer Reading Program at Calypso.com encourages teachers to create their own Web sites where they can post a list of recommended books, provide students with reading tips, and post a discussion board to stay in touch with students over the summer. Visitors to the site can easily buy recommended books from participating online merchants. Each Web site will earn a 5% commission on books sold through the site, and the earnings can be used to buy classroom supplies and reading materials. The school that sells the most books before September 2 will win $5,000. Visit Calypso at www.calypso.com.
