New Products Deliver High Speed Voice and Data

The Broadwire 240 ADSL Splitter from ADC Telecommunications is a high-density splitter platform that splits voice and data frequency bands so users can receive voice and high-speed data services simultaneously over a twisted pair of copper wires. To support this high circuit density, the splitter internally grooms signals and maximizes utilization of each twisted pair. It supports up to 240 circuits in a compact footprint. Integrated cable management features ensure that twisted pairs are well routed for easy circuit identification.

ADC has also introduced the worldwide availability of the Axity Broadband Wireless Access System, a carrier-class architecture for two-way delivery of communications services over the Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service (MMDS) wireless spectrum. An end-to-end solution that is fully tested as a system, this next-generation system builds on ADC's MMDS broadband wireless access platform by establishing a carrier-class architecture.

Included are base station transmitters and receivers, wireless modems for the headend and the desktop, and a full-featured Element Management System (EMS). The system operates in the MDS (2.1 GHz), WCS (2.3 GHz), and MMDS (2.5 GHz) spectrum and delivers up to 27 Mbps in each 6 MHz channel in the downstream. ADC also provides complete network planning, design and integration services for MMDS deployments. ADC Telecommunications, Minneapolis, MN, www.adc.com.
