Alliance Creates Integrated Broadband Video Networking Solution

A technical alliance between TODD Communications, Inc. and MinervaNetworks, Inc. will facilitate the delivery of video-rich applications overenterprise networks. Under the alliance, TODD’s TC Reliance video systemmanagement software will control Minerva’s VNP (Video Network Platform) MPEGencoder/decoder. Benefits of this integrated broadband video networkingsolution could have many applications for videoconferencing environments, suchas distance learning.

TC Reliance’s Web-based scheduler, connection control androom and conference control features manage and configure video systemsoperations while simplifying scheduling and administration for non-technicalusers. They offer feature-rich administrative software, network design toolsand comprehensive reports. Additionally, the video system management softwarecan be scaled from modest network configurations to those accommodatinghigh-traffic interactive and other types of video.

The Minerva VNP provides state-of-the-art real-time MPEG-1and MPEG-2 encoding and decoding for a variety of video networkingapplications. The network appliance is designed for system integrators and 'EMswho demand carrier-class reliability and high video quality. TODDCommunications, Inc.,Minneapolis, MN, www.toddcommunications.com.
