Portal Features Tens of Thousands of Educational Sites

The Curriculum and Education Resource Finder, or C.E.R.F., is an instructional, subscription-based Web content portal linking to tens of thousands of carefully-selected, information-rich K-12 URLs. The C.E.R.F. directory gives educators instant and efficient access to pre-selected informational Web sites, grouped by category and searchable by keyword, grade level, and curriculum standards. C.E.R.F.’s sites cover the major subject areas of science, mathematics, technology, arts, English, social studies, health and sports.

After a teacher performs a search, detailed summaries of all matching Web sites come onscreen, with descriptions of their intended grade-levels and the applicable curriculum standards. The sites include text, graphics, and selections of audio and video. Also included are primary source documents, such as indexed radio archives and speeches. A bibliography generator will make instant citations of sites a student has visited for research. C.E.R.F., (877) 331-1022, www.cerfinfo.com.
