Public Radio Goes Online

Bigchalk.com and National Public Radio have joined to provide high-quality learning materials for America’s schools by creating and distributing original online content for the education community. In addition, they have formed an educational Web resource featuring NPR content and audio, combined with lesson plans, student activities and opportunities for collaboration between classrooms. Content includes a range of news and current affairs topics, along with classroom activities to integrate NPR’s content into lessons. Through bigchalk.com’s ExplorAsource engine, the project’s lesson plans will be correlated to state and national standards of learning. Bigchalk.com will also include content from its HomeworkCentral database. Bigchalk.com, New York, NY, www.bigchalk.com.
