Software Automates Common Tasks

QuicKeys issoftware that customizes and automates a computer to work in whichever ways itsuser desires. The program automatically takes care of hundreds of dailycomputer tasks, from opening programs to typing frequently-used phrases. Forsimple, one-step tasks, there are QuicKeys “actions,” which automaticallyperform tasks such as opening programs or closing windows. For morecomplicated, multi-step tasks, there are QuicKey “sequences,” whichautomatically carry out all of the steps involved in a task, such as opening ane-mail program, typing a password, and checking for new mail. Actions and sequencescan be triggered simply by pressing a hot key or by clicking a button in atoolbar. Certain sequences come pre-programmed, while a built-in task recordermakes creating actions and sequences easy. A recording feature captures thetask once as you perform it, and a simple trigger will play back themouse-clicks and keystrokes it recorded. For users who prefer hot keys to usinga mouse, all mouse functions can easily be made into hot-key functions. Thesoftware will not interfere with the programs it automates.
