Web Site Displays E-Textbooks and Instructional Guides

McGraw-Hill Education has launched a learning network, called MHLN.com. Offering a seamlessly integrated network of complete, interactive online e-textbooks, the site is a comprehensive suite of support resources for teachers, administrators, students and families. The e-textbooks feature the full content of the printed versions, enhanced with movies, audio links and other teacher resource materials. As with printed texts, the e-texts come equipped with Teacher Editions that can be easily cross-referenced with the student edition. The site is also set to integrate online assessment services in the form of standardized general achievement and diagnostic tests from CTB/McGraw-Hill.

In addition to interactive e-textbooks, MHLN.com provides a variety of online tools. The Interactive Lesson Planner enables teachers to organize lesson plans while using content from any of the site's books or content areas. The Web-based Test Generator allows instructors to create custom tests that can be distributed and scored online. Using the Online Activity Engines, teachers can create activities from templates. The Report Writer's Assistant allows students to gather information and resources from the site's content areas, and organize them into a report. Teachers can also store grades, track students' progress and prepare reports for parents using the Teacher and Administration Grade Book.
