The 8000 Digital Press from RISO uses the company's Zykros technology to print more than one color in a single pass, resulting in high-quality copies at speeds ranging from 60 to 120 pages per minute. It also comes network-ready for connection to virtually any stand-alone PC or Mac. The Digital Press has a 32MB PCMCIA Document Memory Card that enables users to store jobs, then print them directly from the control panel. It can also do the work of expensive desktop publishing programs with RISO printer drivers and enhanced features, which can produce high-quality images.

With the 8000 Digital Press, users can work from a desktop or scan directly from the glass platen. An optional edit board allows users to add spot color to a hard-copy original. The unit's user-friendly, large-format touch screen is intuitively designed and gives complete details of all operations, consumable levels and queued jobs. The system also offers the option of 70 standard colors and an unlimited custom-color assortment for customized spot-color printing on a variety of paper stocks in sizes from 4" x 6" to 11" x 17".
